After five months, I have decided to pen down my engagement - home renovation - wedding journey!
Let me start off with a memorable night on 11th July 2015.
I booked a restaurant at Ion Salt Grill & Sky Bar to celebrate J's birthday. Prior to ordering our main course and dessert, we were served bread and white wine accompanied with an amazing view of the NDP rehearsal fireworks!
I was enjoying quality time together but J had to excuse himself for 2-3 times throughout the dinner as he claimed to be suffering from "tummy ache" and disappeared for at least 15 mins each time. I was being suspicious about him because he don't looked in pain at all! After many disappearing acts, we managed to finish our dinner and came along his birthday dessert.
Me: I'm going to sing for you a Birthday song ok?
J: Ok, you sing!
Me: ..... *song ended
Next moment, the manager came up to me with a huge bouquet of red roses and a plate of dessert with writing, "Will You Marry Me"? I turned around to look for him and he was standing right in front of me ready to kneel down! I would never expect him to propose in a public with crowds. +100 points!
Me: Which side you gotta put the ring, left or right hand ah?
J: I researched is right hand leh.
Me: You sure not?
J: Yah yah same one and he just put the ring into my 4th finger!
Me: ehhh nooo.. I haven't agree you must ask again.
J: Okok, will you marry me?
Me: Okay lah but the ring is already in my finger.
And so, I promised him that we are going to stick through thick and thin and grow old together...
